Plethora of Choice: Healthy Living Feature 25/2/2009
For a reasonably priced ethnic meal in a relaxed atmosphere in a contemporary setting, you can’t go past the recently opened Corianders Indian Restaurant in the Edgeware Shopping Centre.
My personal experience of their extensive menu, North Indian inspired cuisine and attentive service earned my accolades for all-round fantastic food and great service. Its fresh herbs and spices and made-to-order menu prepared by experienced Indian chefs make this dine-in or takeaway, BYO and fully licensed restaurant my first choice in Indian diners.
For an entrée, Corianders Platter for Two is a sizzling good start with its two onion bhaji, two samosa, two lamb tikka, two lamb chops and two tandoori chicken pieces with mint yoghurt sauce.
The platter is also available in a vegetarian option and plentiful vegetarian options abound in the choice of mains also. Of the 38 choices of mains, 12 are vegetarian including a delightfully slow-cooked black lentil and kidney bean Daal Makhini.
I can personally vouch for the Chicken Saag, a spicy fresh tomato and spinach gravy combination available in lamb or seafood varieties also. Their signature Bombay Chicken dish is not to be missed, and for lamb and seafood lovers there is a plethora of choice.
Open for lunch and dinner, they have a special new $9.99 lunch menu from 11.30am to 2pm.
Corianders Indian Restaurant is an aptly named establishment bound to build a consistent reputation.
