The Magic of India comes to Edgeware: NorWest Food 3/12/2008
Following tremendous success in Rolleston, the award-winning Coriander’s Ethnic Indian Restaurant is recreating the enigmatic sights and sounds of India in its new Edgeware location.
Owner Amardeep Singh and his team of senior chefs and impeccable service staff served up just the right recipe of style,
sophistication and “Bollywood-chic” at their new restaurant’s opening night on Friday.
Over 80 guests, with complimentary drinks in hand, were impressed by a delicious selection of starters and finger food – a sign of culinary delights to come.
For locals it was also an opportunity to welcome back owner Amardeep who worked in the Merivale hospitality industry for eight years before opening his flagship restaurant in
Rolleston.
Seating up to 34 diners, the lively ambience, authentic cuisine, and fragrant Indian aromas of this warm and inviting eastern escape in the heart of Edgeware village will have you coming back for more.
Stunning handcrafted Indian art adorns the walls and the bright, vibrant décor is cleverly contrasted with rich chocolate hued tables and high-backed leather chairs.
After two years in Rolleston Square, Coriander’s Ethnic Indian Restaurant has built a flawless reputation for incomparable North Indian cuisine amongst a loyal following right across
Christchurch and beyond. Now the new Edgeware restaurant means city-dwellers can enjoy the same high-quality authentic Indian dishes closer to home.
Amardeep says maintaining a consistently high quality across both restaurants is the key, which is why special attention has been paid to training staff and replicating Rolleston’s winning formula in the new Edgeware restaurant.
